QNUK EMERGENCY FIRST AID at WORK Level 3 (RQF)

COURSE DURATION:

This is a one day (6 hours) basic first aid course.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

The student will become a First Aider able to assess, treat and follow up situations covered in the course

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider.

Be able to assess an incident.

Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.

Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.

Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking.

Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding.

Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock. This course isassessed bycompletion of a log book and observations the instructor.

Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury.

On successful completion the student will be sent a Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that is valid for 3 years.
